Career highlight, accomplishments and awards:   Fiona Jones (composer, jazz singer) gained international recognition for her compositions and work with contemporary big bands, including the National Jazz Orchestra and the Porter's Big Soul Band. Her compositions and  arrangements have been performed and recorded by such artists as Montiel, Aznavour, and M. Jarre. Her discography includes 46 albums as leader or musical director and more than 50 recordings with other artists. A frequent clinician and guest artist for Luxembourg National Orchestra and Europe Contemporary Jazz Conservatory, Stradivarius trombones, Fiona Jones  has appeared throughout the world, from Australia to Zurich, sharing her expertise in improvisation, composition, arranging, and jazz history. Her published work "Art of Composition" has inspired many composers and singers young and old. She is currently working on a new book Jazz Improvisation. The Montreal Jazz Festival gave her a 5 night tribute. In 1999, 1996 and 1994 she won Composer of the year award  from CabaretVilleMagazine.
